Sometimes our new design gives a wink to the original piece from which we remove the gem - this time an oval blue sapphire that was set at an angle in a family ring continued to be set at an angle.
Our client has a special connection to our vine motif - her collection includes a Vine Solitaire engagement ring and Vine wedding band as well as a silver Gladiator Ring. So we kept with the theme, creating a Vine Stacker in 10k yellow gold, adding that unexpected twist of setting the sapphire askew, relating it to the original piece.
